Blipsters:

black people listen to music other than jazz and hip-hop! no way! they make it too!

"There is even a new word for black fans of indie rock: "blipster," which was added to UrbanDictionary .com last summer, defined as "a person who is black and also can be stereotyped by appearance, musical taste, and/or social scene as a hipster.""

another major annoyance- this quote:
(blah, blahb blah) to cater to consumers who, like himself, want to dress with the accouterments of indie rock: "young people who wear tight jeans and Vans and skateboard through the projects," he said.

Here's what I want to know, NYTimes. Do you really think that the term "hipster" doesn't encompass, you know, all people who are hipsters? Is it necessary now to specify the type of hipster by skin color? Should we coin some other terms? How about Japipster. There must be some Japanese people out there who are into The Shins. Or maybe we should start saying Barak Obama is a "blolitician", that way people know straight off that he's both black and a politician. I would like everyone to start referring to me as a "bleologist". It would save time.

They should have titled the article, "Black people like white music that doesn't contain rap breakdowns?!"
